{"id":6,"date":"2020-08-18T21:03:19","date_gmt":"2020-08-18T21:03:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenewdaystudy.com\/?page_id=6"},"modified":"2021-07-14T15:41:22","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T15:41:22","slug":"faqs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/thenewdaystudy.com\/faqs","title":{"rendered":"FAQs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">You may have  additional questions before making the decision to participate in the<strong> NEW DAY <\/strong>Study. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">Many of the answers to your questions can be found at <strong><a data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"www.clinicaltrials.gov\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clinicaltrials.gov\" target=\"_blank\">www.clinicaltrials.gov<\/a><\/strong>, however, below we have also summarized some of the more frequently asked questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the purpose of the NEW DAY Study?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">It is the first randomized, controlled trial that will compare anti-VEGF therapy to a long-acting corticosteroid, fluocinolone acetonide, as a first-line, baseline therapy for treatment of diabetic macular edema (DME).  The trial will target approximately 300 patients in approximately 40 U.S. clinical trial study centers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How long does the study last?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">If you qualify and agree to participate, you will be asked to commit <strong>18 months<\/strong> to the study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the time commitment for this study?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">The <strong>NEW DAY<\/strong> Study requires a <strong>monthly <\/strong>visit to your doctor&#8217;s office for the duration of the study (at least 18 months).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Will I be compensated for participating in this study?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">Eligible participants may be compensated for their time and travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What COVID-19 protocols do you have in place?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\">Your safety is our first priority during this study.
